Heisenberg uncertainty principle in life

Early on in my spiritual journey I went to psychics. They would make a prediction and then I would sit back and wait for it to happen. I often stopped doing what I had been dong and simply waited. Their predictions rarely occurred. We are the creators of our reality, there is no fine print that says except for this. Psychics can see probable futures, potential realities. It is up to us to create the prediction. Once a woman predicted I would find my dog dead outside my door. I didn’t choose to experience that so I didn’t.

To observe any particle, smaller particles must first be reflected off it. When that happens the location and the speed of the particle is affected. We all have the ability to explore potential realities and then decide which one we will create. The one that we give the majority of our attention to is the one that most likely manifests.

What if you ‘knew’ you were going to die in three weeks? Would you spend all your money? Would you give everything away? What would you do? But what if that ‘knowing’ was based on faulty information? What if three weeks came and you were still alive?

Judgment Day: May 21, 2011

I recently read an article about a Christian family, the parents believe in the rapture. They stopped working and have spent all their time spreading the word about judgment day. Since their children wouldn’t help them they told them they were going to be doomed to hell with the rest of the evil non-believers. What kind of a future are they creating?

I could be wrong but I doubt that God or the creative force of the universe judges. I doubt that only one religion will go to heaven and everyone else will go to hell. Is the end of the world coming? I doubt it will arrive on October 21, 2011 either. Planet earth may stop supporting human beings at some point in the future and a different species may become the dominant one but who knows?

Okay I will  get off my soap box now…..

A prediction I am pretty sure of but I could be wrong …

According to the Toltec tradition the world is a vast energy system. Love expands, fear contracts. If we focus on love, acceptance and joy our lives will expand. If we focus on fear, judgment and anger our lives will contract. And will that prediction affect your life? I hope so.

My favorite prediction is that if you do random acts of kindness on a regular basis  you will feel good and so will others.

Fear can only exist when we believe we are what I call our small self.  When we align ourselves with our spirit fear becomes an illusion, it is no longer an issue and we realize it is simply a misperception on our part. The presence of fear is always an indication we have aligned ourselves with our ego/mind self and have once again begun to believe that we are separate. When we align ourselves with our spirit fear no longer has meaning or the power to control us, there is only faith, peace and joy.

We can actually learn to use fear as our guide. Whenever fear is present it is an indication we are believing we are separate and we can make the choice to align ourselves with our spirit. We can actually begin to celebrate fear as a gentle guide leading up back to our true nature. Fear becomes a reminder, rather than resisting it we can use that energy to shift gears and create a life beyond our wildest dreams.

Are you ready and willing to let go of your limiting beliefs and move out of hell and begin living in heaven instead? Letting go of our filter system and stopping ourselves from successfully arguing  for our limitations is a process that takes discipline, dedication and lots of practice.

I am in the process of getting my garden ready to replant. Here in Hawaii keeping the jungle at bay takes a lot of work. Getting things like roses to grow takes a lot of patience, nurturing and care. I found out roses like warmth so I built several small stone walls behind my rose bushes and they are doing quite well. I enjoy watching the leaves turn from red to green as the branches grow. Then small buds emerge, slowly swelling and eventually become beautiful, fragrant roses. I am always amazed that such thorny plants can yield such beautiful flowers.

Life is a lot like that. Some of the roughest experiences can create the most freedom and joy in our lives when we are willing to use them as an opportunity to let go of our limiting thinking. When I pick my roses I often wind up with a bloody finger, but once they are in the vase sitting next to my computer I get to smell their lovely fragrance.

The Secret and the Law of Attraction are still buzzing around the self help and spiritual communities. They have been around since before time, but finally they got packaged in a palatable manner. I have no idea how long roses have been around. Not too long ago commercial growers created roses that would ship well and last a bit longer but they no longer smelled like roses.

Sometimes we think, “When I get ____________, then I will be happy.” But when it shows up we still aren’t happy. I often tell my students to pretend there is no out there. Out there can only impact us if we allow it. The events happening in life are emotionally neutral until we tell ourselves a story. Once you really internalize that concept there is an incredible amount of freedom. You no longer have to change anyone or anything. All you have to do is modify your internal dialog. Very simple but not very easy. It does take practice.

I look around at all the exotic flowers around my home. When I lived in Vermont they were rare and expensive. But since I changed my internal dialog and made certain choices they are now readily available. Of course I moved 6000 miles and planted the plants, nurtured them and when they bloomed took the time to pick the flowers and bring them into my home.

So now as I get ready to plant my vegetable garden I am whacking back the jungle, putting down weed block and mulching the area. Then when I plant my seeds I will easily be able to tend my garden.
