Fearless Friday: taking a deep breath

IMG_7207I am in Lithuania and today is my last day teaching in Nida. It is a beautiful place and I love coming here each year. When I am in the presence of such beauty fear is a distant memory.

Last night I had lots of strange dreams and when I awoke the room was full of what looked like a swarm of small back bugs, millions of them. I just looked at them, took a deep breath and thought, “Well they aren’t bothering me so no harm.” When I really woke up of course they were gone.

There was a time in my life I would have been terrified. When I shared my dream over coffee I could see people thinking black = bad energy. Funny how our filter system is wired up with so many beliefs that in turn create our reaction to life.

Personal freedom for me is the ability to choose how to act rather than react to life. I have spent three weeks in this beautiful old fishing village and I am sad to leave. Today I can embrace and even savor the sadness while feeling love, gratitude and joy simultaneously. My emotions are no longer so black and white. What a gift all the colors of the rainbow are.

With love and aloha,
Susan

    Hi Susan,

Wonderful..I am so happy for you..
I wish all of us cud create.in our minds, our private garden. This would be the most beautiful garden in the world, flowers everywhere, a pleasant smell in the air, and beautiful fountains. This would be our garden, we could escape, to when life becomes to difficult to handle, and there is too much negativity around us.

This is where we could come to recharge our batteries, and get in touch with ourselves :)

We all have our own private garden and it is always only a deep breath away.

    In love always,
    Susan
