I talk a great deal about emotional neutrality and the perfection of everything. I know every event is perfect and that doesn’t mean that at times I don’t have strong reactions, judgments and profound wonderment at our choices as a species. This week I had one of those moments.

Celebrating Osama bin Laden’s death

I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that. Martin Luther King, Jr

My question is when will we get that? When will we realize that judgment and hatred will never create peace? As long as we live in a world driven by right and wrong we will create a world filled with hatred, judgment and war.

Today My Spiritual Practice Is To Love The War On _____ You Fill In The Blank

Today my spiritual practice is to accept, embrace and love the people that celebrate Osama Bin Laden’s death. I want to be bale to love all the people that believe the war on terrorism or the war on drugs or the war on illegal aliens will succeed and improve the world.

It will take lots of self talk on my part, prayer, meditation, love, forgiveness, more love, more surrendering and LOTS OF LOVE to get there. I may not get there today or tomorrow or next year but it is my intent to release all internal conflict and judgments. I will create peace within, without that there is no hope for peace out there.

I do not know with what weapons World War 3 will be fought, but World War 4 will be fought with sticks and stones. Albert Einstein

Blessed be,
