If you are at all familiar with my work you will have seen me write about loving everything equally and about seeing the perfection in everything. It has taken me a while to be able to apply that adage to Trump or as I have been referring to him mentally, ‘he who shall remain unnamed.’
I recently saw a post on Facebook that encouraged me to write this post. There seems to be so much anger, judgment and fear about ‘he who shall remain unnamed’ online. Lots of down right, deeply rooted fear about all the rights that will be lost and the horror that will be unleashed by a Trump presidency.
When we agree to see the perfection in everything life changes in profound ways. Allowing for the possibility that Trump and his election is perfect can be a very powerful spiritual practice and an exercise that will set us free, but as we get use to the idea it may drive us a bit crazy. I’m still getting there and I practice releasing all of my judgments about him on a daily basis. I still haven’t been able to watch the news since the election but I’m sure that will come with time.
Our thoughts become things. So if I judge Trump and give voice to my fears about his presidency I will create lots of stuff I’m sure I would really rather not experience. When we chose to see the perfection in everything we benefit by seeing that perfection. Love expand, fear contracts.
So my question to you is: What DO you want to create in the next four years? I personally want to create more love, joy, abundance, freedom, laughter and a sense of ease. I certainly want more love and less fear. I want my life to continue to expand as it only can when I embrace love and release judgment and fear.
I’d love to see your thoughts and feelings in the comment section.
With love and aloha,
Susan
Thank you, Susan! I can always rely on finding the Grandmother’s wisdom in your words. I am one of those struggling with this – lost many a night’s sleep. It seems so counter intuitive to send love into the Universe by loving that which hates. But I have learned from you and other spiritual teachers that the Universe can be quite paradoxical. I know your words are true. But fear is such a difficult thing to overcome. Especially the intense, gut wrenching fear that this administration elicits. I have pondered for myself that it is related to my ego’s need to control. It fears intensely that which cannot be controlled. And then it (ego) becomes very, very angry. I have been practicing turning my fear and anger at the loss of control over to the Universe. “Not my will, but thine be done.” Anything you can put out there to guide us in releasing this fear and anger would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for all your work and caring !!! With much love…
Yes, the Grandmother’s wisdom speaks to me as well.
Love even fear – the only thing that is real is love everything else is an illusion or a story we tell that doesn’t serve us.
Fear after all is just:
F alse
E vidence
A ppearing

Thanks for sharing Edna
Thank you, Susan! I’ve been struggling to remain optimistic about Donald Trump becoming president. I’m trying to give him a chance and to be less judgemental. I have been praying for him and for the people he is selecting to work with. I needed your reminder that thoughts become things. I want to release thoughts of fear and judgement and negativity. I, too, want a life of peace and joy and love.
Thanks Edna – let’s rock this year with laughter, love and joy!!
Can’t thank you enough for reminding me that everything is perfect until I tell myself otherwise. And, it’s been difficult believing this election has been perfect when the majority didn’t win. Even celebrities don’t want free publicity at the swearing in ceremonies. That’s quite a statement when they don’t want free press. I’m attempting to send loving kindness, but it doesn’t come naturally particularly when I watch the news and see the lies represented as facts. Thanks for keeping up these important messages.
Thanks Maryanne. It helps me to remember (and he is a great reminder) that there is no such thing as THE truth– truth is relative. The only thing that is real is the energy of creation/love. Bullies (granted that IS a judgment) always fall flat on their faces eventually.
With love and practicing loving,
Susan
Thank you Susan!
I am grateful for your words and glad to be reminded of that acronym. I also like to ask
myself the question “What would love do”? This is also the name of a song by singer and songwriter, Karen Drucker. If you have a chance, Look her up and give a listen. She also has written many other beautiful songs with lyrics that like your words, encourage others to move forward in life more freely and with peace and self confidence. The world is a better place because of the kind of work (sharing) you and Karen do! Thank you!
Thanks Janice- I’ll check her out. Judgment is like throwing gasoline on a fire to put it out
The quality of our questions really influences our lives in a profound way. What would love do and How can I see this through the eyes of love are two of my favorites.
I just gave her a listen – what a beautiful voice and what wonderful messages

Thank you for your presence, Susan. After some struggle I’ve started approaching the election as a wake-up call. It is time to expand my being in the world. There is perfection in balance. Now kindness is my favorite thought.
A world based on kindness is wonderful indeed Thanks Ellen
Trump’s election is like my alarm clock.
Perhaps it’s time to wake up!
I agree it is time to wake up and create from a place of love
Thanks for the sharing these sentiments. God has his plan(s) … and with the new president I noticed a lot more people, that had been ignoring all that has been happening in politics, are changing their stance from being on the sidelines, to attempting to make a difference. May we all continue to move forward with Love.
Everything is perfect and we move from one perfect moment to the next!
Why the mind exist? If the life creator is love, then just create the body and the spirit are enough. Why the creator creates the mind to make people suffer if it loves people that much?
Our mind is a wonderful bio-computer that takes care of all the functions of our body. We (the energy that gives life to our body) can choose what we think about, how we think about things.
Most of the work I do with people is helping them retrain their minds. Your mind isn’t making you suffer. Much like a dog if you train them to go outside to do their business they will as long as you take them out. You can train your mind to see life through the eyes of love. It does take practice, discipline and dedication but the pay off is WELL worth the effort.
With love and aloha, Susan
Then why that life force didn’t eliminate people’s capacity of feeling negative emotions when it created people out of love? Why not eliminate the capacity of judgement before we were created? Why not left no room for people to perceive suffering in the first place before we were born? Isn’t this more reflecting love??
We have free will and can choose to suffer or not. Love or fear – we have the power of choice
Hi Susan, 2017 looks like being an interesting year. Trump on your side of the pond and Brexit on our side. Evolution always moves into the unknown so breakdown could be breakthrough. Perhaps the time is an opportunity to build something so much better. Love and All the best for 2017 xxx
Thanks Gillian
Ido agree with you…ultimately…as in something better, eventually, coming out of all this. Well, I hope!
I too am in Britain.
I left my comments, re current situation, below yours.
All best wishes, and love,
Rosie
Dear Susan, with great respect for your views…However, regarding situations where I see injustice; or, as in the case of the shortly to become President of the USA, seen by many of us as a travesty of this position of power, and, can, at least, attempt to have some input – making sure it is by peaceful means – I will always support.
I am not an American, but, as many in Britain, as many in other parts of the world we watch on; not quite believing the way politics have played out there, and in Britain (Brexit), and Europe, where xenophobia has been at the heart of driving a leap to the extreme right in politics; with scapegoating and divisiveness driving the choices made.
I, with love, will resist the fear being perpeptuated by such politicians; or any person espousing such thinking.
Here, Marianne Williamson, writes with a level headedness, passion, and eloquence about such resistance she proposes. Done with love http://www.huffingtonpost.com/marianne-williamson/the-great-resistance-2017_b_13844688.html?
With love and respect, Rosie
Love in action is the key to an amazing world. Thanks for sharing the link – I love Marianne Williamson – she lives what she teaches.
Hello Susan
I’m commenting from the UK. In the next four years I want to continue practising responding with love. It’s a daily battle to release judgement but we’ll worth it.
As for your new president what can I say other than from my perspective it is what it is and he needs our prayers.
Susan I’ve made myself busy tuning out of the negativity and one way I do this is to ration how much news I watch.
Thanks again for a timely reminder that love trumps everything.
Michelle
Thanks Michelle – love does trump everything and it is wonderful when we make a love an action verb in our life.
Sending you a big hug, Susan
I loved this comment, excellent advise, Susan-
