One of my dearest friends is a woman named Tess. She used to work for me in my stained glass store Gloomchasers. OK, I know it’s a weird name. When I first starting selling stained glass a sweet gray haired woman bought something from me, as she left she patted me on the arm and in her shaky voice said, “Dear, that would chase the gloom out of any corner.” Hence the name for my store.
I sold plants as well as stained glass and would go to NYC, load up my van and bring home lots and lots of plants. The store would look like a tornado hit it. I would be tired and stressed after an 8 hour drive home. Usually I’d go home immediately but this one day I stayed to watch Tess.
The whole store was chaos and Tess stood in the corner, by the sink cleaning a place about one square foot. I found myself getting annoyed and asked her what she was doing. She said that once that spot was neat and orderly she would expand it until the rest of the store matched.
One day I was looking around my office. To say that it was messy would be a severe understatement. I immediately felt overwhelmed and was about to walk away when I thought of Tess. I cleaned a small area on my desk and then let it spread. By the end of the day my office was spotless.
So, what is and what isn’t working in your life?
Step by step, spot by spot, thought by thought you can transform your life. What do you want more of in your life? What do you want less of?
Once you decide, choose your thoughts accordingly.
Ask yourself:
What do I want, really want?
Do I want to be happy?
Do I want abundance?
Do I want more time for myself?
What do I really really want?
Isn’t it time to live the life of your dreams? Happiness, joy, love and abundance is your birthright.
With love and aloha,
Susan
