This year is the 25th anniversary of the holiday to honor Martin Luther King, Jr’s life and his dedication to changing the world. The corporation for National and Community Services is encouraging Americans to mark the anniversary by committing to 25 acts of service (that’s only twice a month!) in 2011.

I have long been an advocate of random acts of kindness. This is an opportunity to be of service for a whole year to perform 25 acts of service in 2011. Service is the antithesis of fear, helps improve the quality of your life and is sure to chase the blues away.

Give yourself and your community the gift of being of service. Spread love and help the world have more love.

With love and aloha,
Susan
