When we allow for the possibility literally anything is possible. We are only limited by our beliefs, agreements and assumptions – change those and your world changes.
One of the most profound questions I ever answered for myself was, “Is this a safe universe or a hostile, predatory one?” At first glance it certainly seems to be an unsafe place, but it isn’t. Don Juan talked about a predatory universe and early in my studies that was my initial experience, but something about that didn’t make sense. So I continued to explore with an open mind and heart.
When I explored the universe without fear I found a totally safe, loving and supportive universe. When I explored with fear as my guide I saw a hostile place based on domination. I came to realize I am energy inside this body that is infinite, eternal and immortal. From that perspective the universe is totally childproof, there are no sharp edges or bottomless pits. The universe is more like a huge amusement park with no height requirement. I can go on any of the rides.
I also realized birth is like getting a ticket to a multiplex. If I get tired of a tragedy I can go to a love story or comedy. If I don’t like the movie I’m in I can leave and go to another theater.
If I choose to see life through the eyes of love I see one world. If I look through the eyes of fear I see another.
