I think of life like an amazingly beautiful labyrinth. There are turns and twists but inevitably we get to the center and we can pause, deepen our connect to our spirit and then take that love back out into our life.
A few weeks ago I built a number of labyrinths at the Sedona Mago Retreat Center. The one pictured above is called Unity. I think of it as infinity because when seen from above it forms an infinity symbol.
What do you want to create in your life?
When I got to the retreat center I was surprised when they asked for an 81 point labyrinth. I had never heard of such a thing so I meditated and prayed about it. I came up with the idea of three 70’ circles with 27 points in each one. I think it will be awesome. Anything is possible once we decide to make it so.
So what do you want to create in your life? Are you willing to take the necessary steps to make it a reality in your life?
What do you want more of in your life and what do you want less of? If you had a magic wand (and you do by the way) and could wave it over your life what would you life look like?
Tell me your story in the comment section. Next week I will announce the winner of the free Kindle.
With love, curiosity and aloha,
Susan
I must have forgotten where I placed my magic wand!
I am completely disconnected from the siblings I grew up with (they’re still a pebble in my shoe!), but love the idea (also fear the same idea) of reconnecting with them someday. If I had a magic wand to wave over my life, my life would look like it does now, beautiful and pono, and also include my siblings and their families. BUT, under one condition, they would all have to be brain washed by Susan first! Before I leave this place, physically, I would really love to connect with them all on the same spiritual level I am on.
Peace!
May they become loving supporting characters in your glorious life.
With love and aloha, Susan
P.S. By the way, LOVE the photos, and titles you chose for this article! Keith and I behaved like little kids when we saw it, makes us so happy to be included.
We love you!
I am so glad to be included in your life.
With love and a big smile, Susan
I’d live in a beautiful place, in a house full of love and whimsy and joy, with comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces, welcoming to all, both my retreat and my place to invite my friends to join me in retreat. Hiking trails are nearby, and I use them every day. I’d be doing “work” so wonderful that it never felt like work, eating healthy food and staying active. I’d have more than enough money to travel where I want when I want. For example – I could go to Mago for a few weeks and let them feed me wonderful food while I walked the labyrinths and wrote and meditated every day. 🙂 The new labyrinths sound wonderful!
Sounds great … I look forward to going back to Mago and walking all the labyrinths!
The twists and turns of life have taken me to deaths door five times in this lifetime.
With such extreme expereinces life’s perspectives get put into place pretty clearly.
Each day is greeted with gratitude. Deep breaths to fill my lungs with a new day .
I make sure there is a smile on my face and I insist that laughter be a part of my day.
Sending out pure love from my open heart for this gorgeous planet and all its miracles.
Trees for instance absorb our carbon monoxide that is harmful to us and emit oxygen that we need to breath! Image that !!! A miracle. Yet, asking for nothing in return. I learn from that.
I signed off on 9-5 lifestyle many years ago. I am a freelance photographer, hair designer, ordained reverend and gardener. I make enough money to meet my earthy demands and that is good enough for me. I do own a small house that is sustainable and have a small slice of Mother Earth that I care for without pesticides or harming nature. I can’t even kill a spider, but if I do “need” to, I thank it for its existence. This may sound silly but I truly do honor all life. I eat only organic foods, no meat and do not drink alcohol . Honoring my personal temple is my privilege so I do yoga, ride a bike, kaiak, stretch, go for walks, watch the sun set, feed the swans organic whole wheat bread (they love me). LOL
Yes, I chose to live this way. It limits me to dine out at fancy places with my friends but I don’t like eating chemicals. Instead we have tea and go for walks and talk, face to face.
On a final note: I did build a Labyrinth in my yard, I saw it in a dream and was “told” to build one, so I did!! I enjoy celebrating the Summer Solstice with a drum circle, pot luck and dancing! This past week we had a celebration for the Strawberry Friday the 13 Full Moon. We drummed and danced in the moon light.
Buffalo, NY is a beautiful sacred location with many vortex’s of energy centers, including Niagara Falls ! It’s not Hawaii Susan, but it is a beautiful place to love life. Peace be with you.
Sounds wonderful – a smile in the morning mixed in with gratitude will often cure what ails you. I too can for my precious piece of Hawaii with love and NO chemicals. My dad was a spray the hell out of it kind of guy. My uncle just gave me a copy of Silent Spring by Rachael Carson and I never used chemicals again. This month’s moon was magical. Dance away my friend and enjoy your labyrinth.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing,
Susan
