“Into each life a little rain must fall.” I am not sure who said that, but lately a lot of rain has been falling. Granted I live on the rainy side of the Big Island. As we had day after day of rain I realized once again how everything is relative. I got tired of being tired of all the rain. After all, sun in and of it self can’t make me happy any more than rain can make me miserable. At a profound level there is no out there. So it comes back to asking myself, “What do I want to create? What do I want to experience?”
I suppose I could have focused on changing the weather, but instead I just changed what I was telling myself. I also realized the rain helped me become more aware of how much I enjoyed working in the yard. Yard work stopped being a chore and instead became a pleasure pastime. Amazing how powerful our inner dialog is!
We are limitless beings yet we come to a physical plane where we experience limitations. Perhaps those limitations can help us become aware of how much we enjoy being creative, limitless beings. We are so creative we can even create the experience of being limited.
Everything in life is an opportunity or an invitation to connect with the essence of who and what we really are – our spirit – or to connect with our filter system. The choice is ours moment by moment. Awareness, transformation and intent are incredibly powerful tools that will set us free if we choose to use them.
And of course without the rain there wouldn’t be beautiful rainbows.
With love,
Susan
