Here is a short video I made about gratitude. I learned (the hard way) that gratitude is one of the most important things in life.
With love, gratitude and love,
Susan
In November I am having a retreat all about gratitude and I have 3 spots left.

Thank you as always for sharing your ideas and experiences.
I am grateful for many things, but perhaps the most grateful for
finally having been able to stop smoking. That happened 11 years ago –
I am still consciously grateful every day for that blessing.
Love to you from
Robyn in Vancouver CANADA
Isn’t being smoke free awesome!
thanks susan this is a lovely message about gratitude and love-it is wonderful to count your blessings and be grateful
Counting your blessings especially when you are in the midst of an emotional speed bump will set you free!
Thanks Zaneta

Thanks Lisa
Thank you Susan for the beautiful reminder, so often I let my life situations lead the way and I get lost in them. I have lots to be grateful for and your message came at the best time for me.
Focusing on gratitude over all else will make the other stuff melt away into a sea of love and gratitude.
Thank you Susan; you are such a lovely soul. I so appreciate your messages and have been uplifted and enjoyed your “Thoughts for the Day” for a few years now. I am grateful for you right now! And grateful for the sun, the chickadees in my pine tree this morning, this wonderful season of summer, fresh clean air to breathe and the gentle cool breeze. Blessings from Lorie in White Rock, BC Canada.
I love chickadees and the smell of pine – thanks for sharing that! Breathing in the smells.
I am grateful for your daily reflections. Every morning I look forward to reading them. Thank you Susan 🙂
I am glad you enjoy them Irene
I am grateful this morning for you and your willingness to share your message of love and gratitude with all of us. I have been following you for so long that seeing you in the morning while I have my first cup of tea feels like I’m sitting with an wise and fear friend. Thank you.
Spell check keeps changing the word DEAR…I’m trying to say D E A R friend.
I read dear and didn’t see the fear until you pointed it out – gratitude will help release fear
Sitting here reading these messages with my yummy cup of coffee enjoying the company!
Thank you Susan for your messages! For over a year I have had a walking and balance problem. I lean and wobble and have funny sensations down my leg, etc. I have been tested from head to toe by numerous doctors and have no diagnosis. I decided that even though I still have a problem that I am grateful and thankful that from all the testing that I don’t have a serious health condition such as Parkinson or MS, etc. I have been trying mediating and yoga and breathing exercises. I am trying to love myself just the way I am for now! Yes, I am grateful!
Aloha Sheryl – as the great master Yoda said – there is no try there is do or don’t do. Just love yourself and your body. Life is an interesting journey best savored in the moment. Doing a gratitude list about everything makes such a difference. Enjoy being a bit off balance
With love, joy and gratitude, Susan
Thank you for your books and posts. Yes, I am thankful that I get up in the morning and have a job to go to even at 70.
You are a gift and thanks for letting me walk along side of you on your journey!
I’m grateful you take the time and effort to share. Among the things I am grateful for is in your book “Happiness” you suggested that if I’m feeling guilty about past behavior to be grateful for the learning experience. Also grateful for the Daily Reflection. Particularly today when I asked myself want I’m not willing to let go of to be happy, and the answer was the belief that I did it “wrong”. Many thanks.
Thank YOU, Susan, for your daily reflections and this video! I always
enjoy reading your posts and hearing your calm, soothing voice and hearing your
reminders to us.
I am grateful for a loving family, beautiful nature, dear & supportive friends,
a beautiful place to live with my family and animal friends, food & your
message of sending love to everyone, everything & every experience!
All there is, is LOVE! Many, many blessing to you & yours, dear Susan.
Hi Susan, greetings from the English/Welsh borders and the refreshing autumn rain that has replaced our glorious summer. In Europe right now we are not coping with the tens of thousands of refugees arriving each week by land and sea. Their stories mix with our stories and in the end it is all about displacement, violence and war. Our story is the fear of more shooting, bombing and being overwhelmed and their story is about shooting, bombing and displacement. It all gets mixed up emotionally into a confused soup. Sometimes it’s hard to be a loving voice in a room full of frightened confused people, who ever they are, but perhaps, in the end, it is all we can do. Love and Hugs, xx
Aloha Gillian
Love is always the answer. Our judgment and fear is what caused the violence in the first place. Maybe volunteer at an organization that helps the refugees. Truly be the voice of love. Perhaps my latest post about empowering yourself will help serve as a good reminder.
Sending you lots of love, peace and clarity, Susan
It’s a thing close to my heart as I worked for many years as an advisory teacher for minority ethnic groups and refugees. It seems so strange to see all this unfolding after a life time of working for plurality and unity. I now live in a rural community away from my original urban environment slowly discovering how resistant rural folk are towards change so I guess I’m living in the right place at the right time! Smiling, Gillian x
Yes indeed. You are exactly where your talents will be most useful. Enjoy the process and the adventure.
