Aloha,

Those lyrics have been running through my head all day long. All in all a fairly decent song to be running through your head. I must admit I used to watch the TV show Touched by an Angel and I would always cry when the angels finally spoke to the person in distress and told them God had sent them. I always thought it would be nice to have an angel come and talk to me someday.

Those were my thoughts as I weeded my labyrinth, listening to the sounds of the wind chimes and the water splashing in my ponds. Then my dog came over and sat next to me. I reached over, patted her and had one of those ah ha moments.

Angels come in many forms. Today my angel was loving dog visiting me while I was weeding. Miracles happen all the time, but only when we take the time to notice and remain connected to our spirit.

I one of my recent classes I suggested people make a list of all the ways they can feel that connection to their spirit. One of my spiritual mentors strongly suggested I find a variety of ways to feel that connection to my spirit. For him it was sitting on the seawall near his home. The wind often reminds me of that connection. All of nature deepens my connection when I simply observe the beauty. I can also find that connection in the middle of a busy city street. I am sure I could feel disconnected in the presence of God when I am caught up in my thoughts about who I am.

Today I was reminded that angels are every where. Life is so much more fun and goes so much easier when I remember to connect with my spirit. That divine energy is what gives substance to all of life so if I am willing I can connect with divinity through anything and anywhere.

So, for today I allowed myself to feel filled with love while pulling weeds. In the words of Sarah McLachlan, “You’re in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here.”

Wishing you lots of magic, miracles and love,
Susan
